Crockford sez "CSS is slow, complex, fragile, and incomplete. CSS should be replaced. No other GUI application platform requires anything like it."

i disagree (mostly).

like most standards efforts, CSS lags behind. slow? talk to implementers. complex? really? you think javascript is *not* complex? fragile? ok maybe. incomplete? talk to implementers again. dont' get me wrong, a get frustrated trying to make CSS work. but it's almost always a browser issue, not a CSS issue.

i know crock's views on the broken internet and how we need a new paradigm. maybe, but not because CSS is a failure.
