router crapped out
our home router finally crapped out for good this evening. it's had problems for a few months. i've been meaning to replace it, but never got around to pulling the trigger. now i had to do it. instead of a great deal on newegg.com, i had to settle for an overpriced version at my local bestbuy [sigh].
jesse helped me decide. we went with the Linksys WRT310N. gigabit and all that. we picked it up after dinner and i dropped him off while i picked up dana and friends at the dance studio. i figured by the time i returned jesse'd be grumbling about DHCP, our wireless printer and port forwarding woes. not so.
when i returned home i found the boxes (old and new routers) along with confirmation print-outs of each of the machines in the house (six counting the laptops [sheepish grin] lined up for me to see. he'd completed the whole job in less than an hour. cool!
