now that things are starting to coalesce around an important EMCAScript(javascript) update, folks are taking up sides and making trouble.
i *hope* this is just the usual sturm-und-drang that accompanies all major changes in languages/platforms. if not, we could be in for another long period of needless browser scripting pain and suffering.
