i added 'the urchin' today. google analytics tracks pages for me using a tiny javascript insert that is called urchin. the name somes from the company that google acquired in 2005, Urchin Software.

not that i have much traffic at all right now. i'm just working my way through the typical things a good web presence entails. at least *some* kind of analytics are needed, eh?

i also jumped in and re-activated my adsense account (boo-ha-ha-ha). while i was doing the analytics, it was really simple. also, i updated my google webmaster tools space (verified the domain, updated profile, etc.). this should help me keep an eye on the google bot and on search words, etc.
