shannon's car is repaired and ready

i was able to pick up shannon's focus today from the auto repair. 24 hours and 400 USD later, it's running fine and the AC works ever so nicely - cool!
i'm so glad this is finally done. it was weighing on my mind for the last several days. ever since we bought this car (three weeks ago), i knew this work had to be done and just didn't have the time to get it completed. now that it's all over, things seem a bit happier in my head [grin].
so, this saturday, i get to drive the car down to lexington to drop it off for her and to run in the midsummer night's run (5k) with shannon and bob. i'm even getting treated to a home-cooked dinner for my troubles. should be a very fun weekend.
