Bill Corry posted (message, full thread a link to his demo that shows how to use Ajax to complete a "log out" for HTTP Authenticated sessions (Basic, Digest). In a later reply Bill notes he's not tested this solution in Chrome, Opera, or Konqueror.
I offer a couple tests to help further the notion of a consistent "logout" option for HTTP Auth'ed sessions.
It works as expected.
